Canadian succumbs to mishap injuries

POINGUINNIM — Cindy Campmei, aged 41 years, a Canadian national, who met with an accident on Saturday, December 13, at Sadolxem, succumbed to her injuries last night at Goa Medical College, Hospital Bambolim. Cindy sustained head injuries, the police informed. 
According to Canacona police, Cindy was riding her Bullet motor-cycle GA-08-C-7093, when her vehicle collided against an on coming mini-bus GA-02-Z-5777, thereby sustaining injuries to her head and mouth.  She was immediately rushed to Community Health Centre, Canacona, following which she was shifted to Hospicio, Margao and later was rushed to GMC, for further medication. 
The autopsy has been conducted today and the body has been handed over to the relatives, the police informed. 
The police informed that a case under section 279 and 304 (A0 IPC, has been registered against the accused (the deceased). 
PSI Prasanna Bhagat is further investigating under the supervision of PI Suraj Halarnkar.
