PANAJI- The 'Goan Treasure' feni, brewed by Madame Rosa Distillery, is participating at the prestigious International Spirits Challenge 2009 (ISC) event in London. The results will be out in October.
The event, dubbed as the "Oscars of the liquor brands", will give `Goan Treasure’ international exposure and recognise its quality, and display the Golden Treasure label on the organisers website. The feni will be tasted and judged by international industry leaders including master distillers and blenders, importers, journalists, distributors and buyers. The ISC will give the Goan Treasure brand the opportunity to be discovered in the UK and elsewhere in the world.
The competition, in its 14-year is held annually in London. At this competition leading liquor companies of the world gather and compete for the best design and packaging awards and individual spirits category awards for Gin, Vodka, and other white spirits. Other sprits include Rum, Tequila, Cognac, Armagnac, among others.
The exquisite collectors’ bottle of Goan Treasure Feni has been entered in the `other white spirits’ category. Judges for the competition are from 12 countries who are master blenders, master distillers, trade journalists and designers. The competition culminates at a grand award function in October 2009 in London.
